Zylin Prototyping Board

The Zylin Prototyping Board is a complete package--with a small PCB, all tools, and source code to compile and run an eCos RTOS application.
The board can be used as an evaluation board for eCos RTOS, a building block for your own product, or as a template for other products running the eCos RTOS.

The Zylin Prototyping Board is equipped with a small ARM7 CPU, SRAM (256KB), FLASH (2 MB), SDRAM (32 MB,) and an Ethernet PHY. The board also includes a general purpose programmable device (FPGA) with an Ethernet MAC core.
A 96-pins add-on connector can be used to interface your own hardware with the CPU system or the FPGA chip on the Zylin Prototyping Board.

The Zylin Prototyping Board package also includes all the development tools, eCos source code, Zylin Prototyping Board source code, and sample applications--everything you need to compile and run applications on the Zylin Prototyping Board.
The source code includes an sample application that runs a working TCP/IP stack using the Ethernet MAC core and the Ethernet PHY chip.


Includes complete GCC toolchain for both Windows (cygwin) and Linux development environments.

eCos		 The package includes a custom-made eCos Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) designed for the Zylin Prototyping Board.
A complete eCos repository is also included.


The use of the Eclipse CDT IDE is highly recommended. Zylin AS supports the development of this IDE.
Zylin AS has implemented a free Eclipse CDT plugin for embedded development.
