Zylin has years of experience in the embedded software field. We have proven our capabilities through our participation in the eCos community and successful projects for our customers.

Zylin has a keen understanding and proven track record of successfully using existing embedded operating systems out of the box. We also have the capability to solve difficult problems that can arise in areas such as the GCC toolchain and embedded operating systems. Look no further than the ZPU to see that Zylin has mastered the entire embedded development process from A to Z.

We also benefit greatly from our in-house hardware engineers, who assist us with ideas for great designs and solve hard cross-field problems.

Although ARM7 is a popular choice for embedded projects, Zylin also has experience with a plethora of other architectures. Zylin has, in fact, no preferred CPU architecture for embedded development --we simply look at the microcontroller that offers the best package for each project: peripherals, power, and part cost.

With the quality and maturity of the embedded open source offerings today, Zylin finds that it reduces cost and risk of development to use open source solutions. Therefore, no part of the system is beyond reach.

For some projects, the deeply embedded approach is not appropriate. A standard small foot print board/industrial PC with Linux or Windows often works best.
